Job Description
As a Sales Team Manager for our client, you will:
Manage Sales Team: Lead a team of direct Sales Executives to drive rapid new business sales growth within a defined territory.
Develop Sales Strategy: Build and drive the sales strategy for the territory in conjunction with Sales Operations, understanding the competitive landscape and presence within the territory.
Engage in Territory Planning: Actively participate in territory planning, relationship development, opportunity development, and driving revenue by assisting Sales Executives in closing opportunities.
Recruit, Coach, and Mentor: Recruit, coach, and mentor team members to drive excellence.
Set Performance Expectations: Develop territories and quotas for the sales team and communicate effectively to set performance expectations.
Forecast and Pipeline Management: Manage and report accurate forecast and pipeline to the business.
Achieve Sales Goals: Ensure the achievement of annual sales goals on a quarterly and annual basis.
Act as Subject Matter Expert: Represent the company as a subject matter expert in C-level meetings to leverage the company's offerings.
Build Effective Relationships: Foster effective working relationships with Solution Consulting, Sales Specialists, Technical Support, Professional Services, Legal, Sales Operations, Marketing, and the executive team.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, our client is looking for someone who has:
An extensive track record of new business sales success, including presentation and negotiation skills within the industry and at the C-level within the Japan market.
Proven success in recruiting, coaching, and managing an exceptional sales team.
Strong strategic thinking skills, including analytical and financial planning abilities to meet and exceed quotas and goals.
Experience in driving the sales process and building effective working relationships with Sales Operations.
The ability to understand the "bigger picture" and the business drivers around IT.
The capability to build long-term strategic and senior-level relationships.
Adaptability to work effectively within a rapidly changing and growing environment.
Fluency in Japanese and English.
Strong business and financial acumen.
